Rider Guide
We’ve developed this guide to help you have an amazing experience in the Irish Hills of Michigan.
Below you will find the schedule of events, rider checklist, and more!
-
Be kind always.
WAVE AT EVERYONE - that’s what we do around here.
-
Find Connection.
Cycling is the sport for life, and we encourage you to make as many friends as you can in one day. Being surrounded by like-minded people, it should be easy to make new friends!
-
Stay Mindful.
THIS IS AN OPEN ROAD COURSE! Follow all laws of the road - don’t blow through stop signs, and do not take the left lane on blind corners/hills. Your life is more important than any bike race. Your friends and family love you and want to hear your stories about the Irish Hills!
-
Lend a Hand.
If someone on course is stopped alongside the road, take a moment to ask if they need any assistance. It only takes a moment to make sure everyone is doing ok or needs any help.
-
Pay Attention.
Follow the course (that you uploaded to your computer). If you miss a turn, go back and return to where you went wrong.
-
Don't Litter.
When we ride our rural roads, we respect our rural roads. If you take it with you, bring it back with you. You may also discard of any trash at any SAG stop along your route.
You must smile the
entire time.
