  • Run what you brung. Flat bar, drop bar, gravel, mountain bike, touring bike. The choice is yours. Just make sure it’s set up and ready for rowdy terrain (tire width, tubeless, etc.).

  • We’ll have two different course options and both will be a standard mass start like most gravel events. The course distances will be 100 KM (62 miles) and 50 KM (31 miles). Please keep in mind the routes may change, and the distances may slightly vary in distance.

  • We will offer one aid station on each of the routes offering water, general first aid supplies, porta potties and various riding snacks. Riders need to be prepared and bring their own food and beverages for the rides.

  • There are many options to choose from in the Irish Hills area. Please visit our Where to Stay page.

  • No, we offer onsite registration the day before the event until 8:00 P.M.

  • All routes are on open roads, and you must follow the rules of the road.

  • You can pick up your ride packets the day before AND ride morning. Check out our Rider Guide page for the Schedule of Events.

    • We have a no refund policy, but riders are allowed to transfer their entry fees to the following year if the opportunity arises.

    • Bike Reg offers additional insurance on your entry that we highly recommend if this is a concern for you.

    • Irish Hills Gravel additionally has an insurance policy through Adventure Advocates that should we be required to cancel for adverse weather, natural catastrophe or terrorism, riders’ entry fees should be protected.

  • Yes, you can log into Bike Reg account and change which route you are signed up for. You may also change distances at packet pick-up.

  • Yes. Please use common sense around other riders.

  • There is one parking option for the entire event. Please enter at Gate 3 at the Michigan International Speedway.

  • At the NASCAR Fan Zone within the Michigan International Speedway.

  • Michigan weather can be unpredictable, so please pack accordingly. We do however expect to have stunning views of the Michigan Fall, feel free to check out the Fall Foliage Map here.

  • You cannot receive outside private aid at any time during the event. Outside private aid means a special person who is there to deliver exclusive aid to you specifically, such as taking your clothes, providing you with a special bottle, etc. This includes at aid stations and in-between. It’s essential to reduce vehicle traffic on course to increase the safety of all riders. Our aid stations have plenty of water, electrolyte, snacks, and light mechanical help like pumps. Your family and friends are welcome on course to cheer you on BUT they are not welcome to drive on course at any time. Encourage them to ride there!
